Threatened February 1 tariffs now scheduled for February 4

Today, tariffs of 25% against all Canadian goods were supposed to go into effect.

The Tariffs were supposed to take effect on January 20, Trump’s first day in office. Then the date was moved to February 1. Now it will be February 4, but March 1 is also being floated as an implementation date.

It has reached the point where I have to call this what it is.

Attention.

Trump needs a lot of attention.

He uses threats and disrespect to get worldwide attention.

I did not update the tariff timeline for five days because I am tired of paying attention to him.

During much of the election cycle, I ignored him.

The only time I started paying attention to him was when he threatened Canada.

Now, I want to help Canada but it feels like I’m enabling a narcissist by feeding him his drug of choice. That drug is attention.

But let’s not forget the thrill of watching people squirm, and using anger as a manipulation tool.

Memories of the blimp that flew over London

All of this is reminding me of a blimp that flew over the city of London when he arrived.

Now I understand what it meant.

As I said before, I wasn’t paying attention to him until he started threatening Canada.

Paying attention to him is hard.

However, since I’ve started, I will continue to do my part to defend Canada.

I’ve even written a battle song.

Let us see what he does on February 4.
